DESIGN IS
MY PASSION.
I live and breathe it daily and am so fortunate to do this for a living.
I grew up in the middle of a field, literally. My paternal family was in the construction business, and I grew up working at my grandfather’s hardware store/lumber company. I mixed paint, made keys, helped my grandmother with the books, and answered phones.
I left the crop fields of southern Arkansas to attend college in Conway. I decided that wasn’t the place for me and, after a brief stint in Dallas, I returned to Little Rock. After moving several times with my family: Salina, Kansas; Hot Springs, AR (twice); England, AR; Fayetteville, AR; and Little Rock, AR. While in Fayetteville, I visited the University of Arkansas Interior Design program and knew that was where I was meant to be. I went on to earn my Bachelors Degree of Interior Design.
After college, I worked for Perkowitz + Ruth, Inc., a California architecture firm with a location in Rogers. We left Fayetteville for Hot Springs in 2012, where I went to work for Taylor & Kempkes Architects, PA. I also had my sweet baby girl, Stella, in Hot Springs.
In 2014, we left Hot Springs for Little Rock, and I swore I would never move again. Armed with architectural firm experience and my BA in Interior Design, I set out on my own, and it’s been a blissfully constant whirlwind since.
Today, I work as an interior designer specializing in residential and commercial design. I work on projects of all sizes. I thrive on listening to my clients and making their spaces reflective of their needs. Form follows function is a concept I learned in design school that I implement with every project.
At the end of the day, I love my job. My clients and family are my motivation. I can’t explain the feeling when a project is completed, the client is happy, and the hard work is on display. Thank you for visiting my site. Grab a cup of coffee and stay a while. Contact me if you think I’d be a good fit for your project.
